Survey: Tell us about parental mental health!
Following Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week (2 – 8 May 2022), as well as the increased concerns around mental health during the pandemic, we decided we wanted to find out a bit more about parental mental health in Trafford. According to the Royal College of Psychiatrists, around 10 to 15 in every 100 women experienced postnatal depression as of 2018. That number may have changed, and there are a number of other mental health problems that can affect both the person giving birth as well as their partner. Did you know that postnatal depression has been shown to affect fathers?
